Aaliyah Dana Haaughton soared to notoriety after she released her first album Age Ain't Nothing but an Number in 1994. The album was Gold at the age of 15 years old. It was made as an album that was heavily inspired by R. Kelly and it placed her in the limelight. In 1996 she collaborated with Jermaine Dpri and Timbaland for her album, One In A Million, which featured the #1 hit track If Your Girl Only knew. Following the success of this album, Aaliyah received international recognition for her work as an R&B performer. The year 2000 saw her co-starred with the martial arts icon Jet Li in Romeo Must Die. Majumdar. Although she began her acting career in film and TV with a few minor parts, her acting career started to gain growth in the latter half of 2000s. The actress has also been featured in Leverage, Suits, Grey's Anatomy and Grey's Anatomy. She also appeared in several commercials that included Volvo and many other major car companies. She is currently working on her acting career at Los Angeles, where she lives with her daughter and husband.
